...Did you expect it to start this soon?

[ Ah yes, their unfurnished warehouse. She's standing nearby and falls easily into step with her. ]

After we were locked in and unable to contact anyone, I suspected it.

[medeian]

[pausing for a moment, surprised.]

We were locked in?

[factoring]

Where did you spend the night?

[medeian]

In a blimp.

[factoring]

In IKEA.

[medeian]

And you said the doors locked?

[furrowing her brow]

...I guess I wouldn't have known if ours did. Nobody was exactly trying to open the door.

[factoring]

Something to keep in mind for next week. Though we might be better off in a group instead of split up.

[medeian]

I think so, too. Now that this has started, it's not going to stop.

[factoring]

The gates have opened and now we have to figure out how we want to approach it all.

[medeian]

[nodding with a frown.]

...We should talk as a group pretty soon.

[factoring]

Today or tomorrow?

[medeian]

We'll probably have more to talk about tomorrow, once we know exactly how one of these trials is going to go.

[factoring]

Fair enough. We'll see if the evidence reappears.

[medeian]

It's going to make things a lot more complicated if it doesn't.

[factoring]

We'll see how much they really want us to solve it.

[medeian]

They're probably ambivalent about it.

[factoring]

It doesn't really change things for them one way or another. We'll just have to deal with getting the wrong person. Assuming they tell us that much.

[medeian]

...I hadn't even thought about the possibility that they might not tell us if we got it right.

[Sometimes we're forced to think about the worst case scenario]

I wouldn't worry about it until it comes to pass. There's enough to think about already.

It'd be pretty cool if feelings just went away whenever you knew they were irrational, huh?

It would be useful if they worked that way.
