I would love a couch or two. Chairs are in the shop, but they're really not the same.

Right. Harder to get really comfortable if you can't lounge at least a little, even if it's an armchair.

I can't believe how much I miss my office couches.

Where'd you work, exactly? I know your profile says cyber sleuthing.

I have an office on the first floor of a mall. The majority of my work is done online.

Where do you create wormholes?

Oh - I was in an academic fellowship. It was part of the research we were doing. Most of what's listed in my profile is related to that, I think.

Were you enjoying it?

[ Dedicating so much time to something like that. ]

I was, yeah. I'd really like to get back to it.

That reminds me - at some point we should get together to talk about general strategy.

...Maybe nobody will take advantage of the opportunity they mentioned on Thursdays, and we can just have a normal competition.

[her tone of voice makes it seem like she knows how unlikely that is.]

[ Ah yes, their unfurnished warehouse. She's standing nearby and falls easily into step with her. ]

After we were locked in and unable to contact anyone, I suspected it.
