If someone chose to fight her, then maybe they wanted to leave it up to chance - that it could fall either way, to Shenhe or whoever killed her as a victim. If it was a fight, and it was someone who was capable and Kaveh... well. Kaveh probably wouldn't stand a chance.
I do think that the beers, the neatly folded clothes - that those are a sign that perhaps it was someone's conscious choice, but we saw similar with Libby, who chose her victim based on the fact that he wasn't human, and the fact that he had said something about not surviving at all, supposedly.
Two doesn't make a pattern. Lambda's kill was rather brutal, but I wonder if her killer didn't know that she was like that. If they knew, would they have targeted her? Or was it a mistake - and in that case, would it make more sense to be coerced, or not?
I don't know. I can't make a distinction. Frustrating.
